He was elected a member of the Senate from Karaganda region.
R.K. Abdikerov was born on June 12, 1959, in Uspensky village of Shetsky district, Karaganda region; Kazakh. After graduating from secondary school, he entered the faculty of history of Buketov Karaganda State University and majored in teaching history (1981).
In 1991, he graduated from Almaty Institute of Political Science and Management specializing in political science.
After graduating from KSU, from 1981 to 1983, he worked as a teacher at Bosagin secondary school, as an instructor at the Agadyr District Committee of the Komsomol (Communist Youth League) and an instructor at the Dzhezkazgan Regional Committee of the Komsomol of Kazakhstan.
In 1983-1984, he served in the Soviet Army.
All working career of R.K.Abdikerov took place in (former) Dzhezkazgan and Karaganda regions.
In 1985-1989, he worked as the dean of the University of Marxism-Leninism of Dzhezkazgan regional party committee and the first secretary of the Dzhezdy district committee of the Komsomol.
In 1990-2001, he worked as the Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, first deputy head of administration, akim of Agadyr district, first deputy akim of Shetsky district.
2001-2006 - akim of Aktogay district, deputy akim of Karaganda.
2006-2009 - akim of Ulytau and Shetsky districts, deputy akim of Karaganda region.
2009-2016 - akim of Osakarovsky and Shetsky districts of Karaganda region.
2016-2017 - secretary of Karaganda regional maslikhat.
He is a good family man, he and his wife raised three children and have grandchildren. At all posts, he shows high adherence to principles and exactingness to himself and others, and through his dedicated work made a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of Karaganda region.
He is a member of the Nur Otan Party. He was awarded the “Qurmet” Order and the "Eren Enbegi Ushin" medal.
