The Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan holds contests among media representatives and bloggers, dedicated to the best investigative journalism based on the materials of the Senate and environmental journalism.
The Amanat Contest is aimed at raising Kazakhstan public awareness of the Senate activities. The contest papers should highlight the relevance and significance of amendments to laws, made by the Senate deputies and their focus on solving problematic issues, the participation of deputies in solving regional problems, and the role of maslikhats in legislative activity.
Participants of the Tugan Yel Contest in their works should draw public attention to the issues of environmental protection, protection of citizens' rights to live in a friendly and safe environment, as well as involve journalists in covering environmental problems and preserving the biodiversity of wildlife.
The materials presented at the contest should address issues of legislative protection of citizens' rights to a favorable environment for life and health, ensuring sustainable development of Kazakhstan in the field of environmental safety and the activities of the Senate deputies on environmental protection.
