The Senate Chairman Maulen Ashimbayev received a visit from the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Kazakhstan Rashad Mammadov in respect of the completion of his diplomatic mission in our country.
During the meeting, the Senate Speaker expressed his gratitude to Rashad Mammadov for his significant contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
“Over independence years, centuries-old relations between our peoples based on the trust and mutual understanding have been filled with a qualitatively new content and have grown into a strategic partnership. Given the good traditions of the past, today Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are furthering effective cooperation in all areas of mutual interest”, - Maulen Ashimbayev said.
The Senate Speaker also noted that inter-parliamentary cooperation is an important component of Kazakh-Azerbaijan relations. According to him, inter-parliamentary relations are being actively strengthened both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of international structures, such as the IPA CIS, TURKPA, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
In his turn, Rashad Mammadov expressed his gratitude to the Senate leaders for supporting his activities performed in the Ambassador’s position.
