The most important priorities among the ongoing reforms are the fight against social inequality and poverty, further democratization of the political system. Economic reforms also occupy a key place in the new agenda. Senators are ready to promptly adopt all the laws necessary for these reforms," the Chairman of the Chamber said.

The Ambassador noted the importance of the reforms initiated by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, stressing that official Seoul fully supports the course pursued by Kazakhstan aimed at reducing social inequality and reducing poverty.

During the meeting, the interlocutors also discussed the events around Ukraine. The parties noted the importance of a peaceful settlement of the situation. In this regard, Maulen Ashimbayev recalled the readiness of Kazakhstan, which was indicated earlier by the Head of State, to provide the necessary humanitarian assistance, as well as mediation services for negotiations.
