Senators are working in flood-affected regions

Deputies of the Senate of the Parliament have traveled to the regions of the country affected by floods and are helping to solve existing problems on the ground.

In Aktobe region, Amangeldy Nugmanov met with residents affected by the natural disaster, deputies of the regional maslikhat and the leadership of the region, discussing with them mechanisms for countering flooding and providing assistance to victims.

Senator Sergey Karplyuk visited humanitarian aid collection points in Kostanay region, met with victims, volunteers, rescuers, expressing gratitude to them for such hard work during the liquidation of the natural disaster.

Senator Kairat Tastekeev got acquainted with the course of flood relief in the Abai region. Before the leadership of the region, he outlined the importance of providing assistance to the victims, on behalf of the President of the country, and together with the regional activists discussed mechanisms to prevent emergencies in the future.

In the areas of Pavlodar region affected by the natural disaster, Senator Yernur Aitkenov focused the attention of the leadership of the region and relevant services on the need to take urgent measures to strengthen drainage systems.

Asem Rakhmetova, who traveled to the North Kazakhstan region, said that the situation in the region is under control, but in the near future meltwater is also expected to descend, which can damage a number of settlements in the region. In this regard, the deputy got acquainted with the progress of the ongoing work on the drainage and pumping of flood waters.

In the West Kazakhstan region, Arman Utegulov joined the work of the regional headquarters together with local akimats and the Ministry of Emergency Situations to resolve issues related to preventing further flooding of areas.
