Deputies of the Senate Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan on International Relations, Defense and Security at an extended meeting considered the law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on regulation of the activities of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation "Central Asia".
The agreement is aimed at developing economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, creating joint ventures, attracting investments and forming new logistics chains. It provides for simplification of customs procedures and provision of favorable conditions for business.
"The creation of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation "Central Asia" is a strategic step aimed at strengthening trade ties between our countries. The project will increase the volume of mutual trade, open up new prospects for business and attract investment in key sectors of the economy. This is not just an industrial zone, but an important platform for innovation, cooperation and development of new production capacities," said deputy Alisher Satvaldiyev.
Following the discussion, the deputies decided to send the document to the Chamber for consideration.
