The Senate, at an extended meeting of the Finance and Budget Committee, discussed the new Tax Code and the accompanying law "On Amendments and Supplements to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Taxation."
The main goal of the new Tax Code is to create a fair, flexible and digitalized tax system that promotes the development of entrepreneurship, attracts investment and simplifies tax administration. The document provides for the introduction of differentiated rates, a reduction in the number of taxes and fees, a reform of special tax regimes, as well as a transition to a service model of interaction with taxpayers.
The accompanying law is aimed at aligning current legislation with the provisions of the new Tax Code. The amendments affect the Entrepreneurial, Budget, Customs and Social Codes, as well as laws on industrial policy, public procurement and trade activities. Key innovations include increased support for investors, clarification of tax procedures and unification of terminology.
Following the discussion, the deputies decided to send them for consideration at a meeting of the Chamber.
