Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament Maulen Ashimbayev met with deputies of maslikhats and the public of the Zhambyl region. The agenda covered issues of implementing the instructions of the Head of State and new areas of joint work of the Senate with maslikhats to promote the development of the potential of the regions. The Chairman of the Chamber also visited the districts of the region, got acquainted with the implementation of the "Auyl amanaty" program, visited industrial enterprises of the region and visited the regional center for social rehabilitation in Taraz.
During the meeting with the deputies of the maslikhats of the region, Maulen Ashimbayev emphasized the importance of strengthening the interaction between the Chamber and local representative bodies for high-quality legislative support for the implementation of reforms initiated by the President of the country. In his Address and at the Second Republican Forum of Deputies of Maslikhats of All Levels, the Head of State paid special attention to creating conditions for the development of regions, diversification of the economy, development of the manufacturing industry and agriculture.
Zhambyl Region, as the Speaker of the Chamber noted, is currently one of the regions with a steadily growing economy, the potential of which is important to actively realize through the joint efforts of deputies and the public. In particular, they discussed mechanisms and projects aimed at increasing industrial production, developing small and medium businesses.
"President of the country Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev set specific tasks to attract investment and introduce modern technologies. As part of the implementation of these initiatives, new enterprises have been launched in the regions, jobs are being created. Today, the manufacturing industry, agriculture, small and medium-sized businesses, and social infrastructure are developing dynamically in the Zhambyl region. Healthcare and educational facilities are being built, and systematic work is being carried out in other industries. Together with the deputies elected from the Zhambyl region, the Senate will continue to support the comprehensive development of the region," the Chairman of the Chamber noted in his speech.
At the same time, Maulen Ashimbayev emphasized that the Senate closely cooperates with maslikhats in several areas, giving priority to the active involvement of maslikhat deputies in legislative activities and assistance in solving urgent problems in the regions. To further strengthen this interaction, he outlined the main tasks for the coming period, requiring the consolidation of common efforts and an integrated approach.
"At the extended meeting of the Senate Council for Interaction with Maslikhats, the tasks set by the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev were discussed, and issues of further strengthening of Maslikhats were considered. Local representative bodies should become one of the most important institutions for the development of regions and the implementation of the reforms of the Head of State. Our common goal is to create conditions for improving the quality of life of our citizens and the prosperity of the country. I am confident that your ideas and recommendations will make a significant contribution to improving the legislative process and will help to effectively resolve issues that directly affect the development of regions," the Chairman of the Chamber said, addressing his colleagues.
National programs and legislative measures to support youth, implemented at the initiative of the Head of State in the country, were discussed at a meeting of senators with talented and active young people of the Zhambyl region. Emphasizing their role in the process of modernization of the country, Maulen Ashimbayev spoke about the importance of new views, scientific research and the study of languages, modern digital technologies, but at the same time, instilling creative values and progressive ideas.
"We live in the era of education and science, in the age of innovative technologies and breakthrough discoveries. Our country has created all the conditions for those who strive for self-development, improving skills, expanding the horizons of knowledge, including using online learning. Such opportunities cannot be missed. At the same time, the strength of the individual lies in cultivating the right values and following the concept of "Adal Azamat" proposed by the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev. Therefore, it is important to make every effort to accumulate, first of all, intangible, intellectual capital," the Speaker of the Senate noted and acquainted the meeting participants with the work carried out by the Chamber for the Support of Youth and emphasized the importance of involving young Kazakhstanis in public administration, activating their civic potential through the initiation of relevant projects and changes in legislation. In particular, he spoke about such public projects of the Senate as the Club of Experts and the School of Analytics.
On the same day, the Chairman of the Senate got acquainted with the activities of the regional social rehabilitation center. It provides services to people with disabilities of the first and second groups over 18 years old and to those who, due to their advanced age, are unable to care for themselves.
In the Baizak district of the Zhambyl region, parliamentarians also visited the Meyirim kindergarten. Equipped as part of the implementation of the Aul Amanat program, aimed at improving the well-being of villagers, it helped employ 25 people, and up to 125 children in the village can attend it.
In addition, senators met with the teams of the JS GLASS glass factory and the Mineral Fertilizers enterprise, which specializes in the production of defluorinated feed phosphates for agriculture.
