Senate deputies Nuriya Niyazova and Zhanna Asanova visited the Children's Emergency Medical Care Center of Almaty. The senators got acquainted with the work of the institution, which provides emergency and specialized care to children from all over Kazakhstan. The center accepts patients in such areas as surgery, neurosurgery, traumatology, urology, ophthalmology, burn treatment and neonatal surgery.
During the meeting with the management and medical staff, the senators discussed issues of improving the quality and accessibility of care, accelerating patient routing, as well as the need for a systematic update of equipment and digital solutions. Particular attention was paid to the problem of the discrepancy between current tariffs and actual costs, especially in complex and expensive areas.
"Children's health is a priority of state policy. Today, it is important not only to maintain the existing system, but to create modern conditions where emergency care is provided quickly, efficiently and based on the best medical practices. This requires optimization of processes, implementation of technologies and, most importantly, constant feedback from doctors and patients," noted Nuriya Niyazova.
The senators also visited the neonatal intensive care unit, where they inspected the conditions for providing intensive care to small patients. Following the meeting, the deputies expressed their readiness to assist in solving the problems voiced at the legislative level and to support initiatives aimed at strengthening pediatric medicine.
