Senate Deputy Bibigul Zheksenbai took part in a round table meeting dedicated to the discussion of the social significance and influence of the Unified upbringing program «Adal azamat», which was created on the initiative of the Head of State at the second meeting of the National Kurultai «Fair Kazakhstan - Adal azamat». The participants discussed the long-term effects of value-oriented programs, international experience, the role of family and society in upbringing, as well as the influence of values on the personal development of adolescents.
In her speech, Bibigul Zheksenbai emphasized that the «Adal azamat» program is of great importance not only for the education system, but for the entire society. Its task is to form in the younger generation such qualities as decency, responsibility, and justice.
«To build a strong state, human values are necessary above all, and among them – honesty. As President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted, a Fair Kazakhstan can only be built by honest citizens. Honest labor begets honor, and a person of honor will not tolerate injustice. Injustice is a dangerous ailment that destroys the country», - said Bibigul Zheksenbai.
Within the framework of the meeting, an exhibition was held where examples of the implementation of value-oriented learning in schools were presented. Teachers and methodologists shared practices and methods that can be applied both in the educational process and in extracurricular activities.
The event was also attended by the Minister of Education of the RK Gani Beisembayev, a professor at the University of Birmingham, the director of The Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues, the director of the Centre for Character and Citizenship Education of the Singapore National Institute of Education, as well as heads of universities, representatives of the educational sphere, experts, and public figures.
