Today, the results of the selection for training in the fifth stream of the School of Analytics were summed up. More than 1,000 people submitted their applications to participate in the public project implemented with the support of the Senate. Based on the results of their consideration, the competition committee selected 71 participants.
This year's training will be held from January 17 to March 7. Every Saturday for eight weeks, well – known Kazakh and foreign lecturers and trainers-statesmen, experts and analysts in various fields-will perform for the participants.
The topic of the next training course will be: SMART GOVERNANCE: data, Analytics and artificial intelligence for effective management. In this regard, candidates with work experience and an academic degree, as well as those working in analytical structures, the public administration system, national companies, mass media, non-governmental and international organizations, and having basic knowledge in the relevant field, received an advantage in the selection process.
During the course, participants will master applied methods of data collection and analysis. In each direction, teams will be formed from among the participants under the supervision of experienced mentors. At the end of the eight – week course, a joint work of participants and mentors-a collection of analytical materials-will be published. The materials will be used by members of the Parliament, the Parliamentary Commission for Monitoring Sustainable Development Goals and Objectives, as well as relevant state bodies as recommendations.
The main goal of the School of Analytics is to strengthen analytical approaches in public administration, social and humanitarian research, and the media. The project was initiated by the Club of Experts at the Senate of the Parliament in 2021. The initiative was supported by the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament, Maulen Ashimbayev. In 2022-2025, four streams of the School were held, where about 300 analysts from the civil service, academic and analytical organizations, mass media, national companies, and the civil sector were trained.
