Deputies of the Senate of the Parliament Ali Bektayev, Murat Kadyrbek and Alisher Satvaldiyev visited Maktaaral and Zhetysai districts of Turkestan region during their working trip. The parliamentarians held meetings with the population and got acquainted with the activities of a number of socially significant and infrastructural facilities.
The work in the region was built taking into account the approaches outlined by the Head of State in a recent interview with the newspaper «Turkistan». The President stressed the importance of meaningful regional development and the practical impact of ongoing projects, from investment initiatives to social programs, which should have a direct impact on improving the quality of life of citizens.
In this regard, the senators paid attention to both major investment projects and basic infrastructure and social issues that directly affect the daily needs of the population.
«Large investment projects in the regions are important not in themselves, but as a tool for creating sustainable jobs and forming an economic base that is really felt by people on the ground», - said Ali Bektayev.
In particular, the parliamentarians visited the international center for industrial cooperation «Central Asia», located near the state border of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Large-scale construction works are underway at the site, providing for the launch of about ten production facilities focused on the development of cross-border trade, attracting investments and creating new jobs.
The senators also got acquainted with the state of water supply systems in the settlements of the Maktaaral district. Despite the absolute provision of centralized drinking water to residents, there is still a need to upgrade worn-out networks in a number of villages. In the village of Akzhol, the parliamentarians inspected the reconstruction of the water supply infrastructure and discussed further steps to modernize water supply systems.
During the meetings with the residents, the senators explained the provisions of the laws adopted by Parliament and answered questions regarding the socio-economic development of the region and the solution of pressing problems.
In Zhetysai district, the parliamentarians got acquainted with the progress of the overhaul of the «Assik Ata» regional hospital. The project is aimed at creating modern conditions for providing medical care to the population. Special attention was paid to the quality of the work carried out and compliance with the deadlines for the completion of the facility.
In addition, the senators got acquainted with the activities of the tennis center, built at the expense of private investments, noting the contribution of such projects to the development of sports infrastructure, the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and the involvement of young people in mass sports.
Concluding their working trip, the parliamentarians visited the feedlot of the «Muitembai Ata» farm, implemented within the framework of the «Auyl Amanaty» program. The project is aimed at developing the agro-industrial complex and ensuring food security.
«Working in the regions allows us to correlate the approaches outlined by the President in a recent interview with the real situation on the ground and make decisions based on the specific needs of people», - Ali Bektayev concluded.
