The President's approaches to digitalization and environmental safety were discussed by senators in Aktau

Senators Suindik Aldashev and Bekbol Orynbasarov got acquainted with the implementation of key infrastructure and scientific and environmental projects in Aktau.

As part of the working trip, the parliamentarians met with the leadership of the Caspian Research Institute, established on behalf of the Head of State. During the meeting, issues of strengthening the material and technical base of the Institute, as well as the implementation of scientific projects in the field of monitoring the level of the Caspian Sea, the ecological state of the region and the rational use of marine resources were discussed. The need to modernize the equipment and further develop the scientific infrastructure was noted.

In addition, the senators got acquainted with the activities of the Caspian desalination plant and plans for its expansion. Currently, work is already underway to increase the capacity of the enterprise, the implementation of the project will significantly increase the level of water safety in Aktau and adjacent settlements.

As part of the trip, the deputies also visited the Mangystau regional maslikhat. Chairman of the maslikhat Zhanbyrbai Matayev presented the updated museum stands and a modern information kiosk. The digital system contains data on the 31-year history of the maslikhat, the activities of deputies at all levels, as well as video materials from sessions and significant events.

The senators noted that in an interview with the newspaper «Turkistan», Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev identified digitalization and the development of artificial intelligence as strategic priorities for modernizing the country, emphasizing the role of digital technologies as a key tool for improving the efficiency of public administration, openness of government and the quality of services provided.

Following the visit, the parliamentarians noted the importance of these projects for the sustainable socio-economic development of the region, improving the environmental situation and improving the quality of life of the population, and also pointed out the need to strengthen parliamentary monitoring of their implementation.
