Opening the meeting of the Bureau of the Chamber, the Speaker of the Senate stressed that Kazakhstan is on the verge of large-scale transformations aimed at further progressive development of the country.
«Currently, at the initiative of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, large-scale reforms are being carried out. They are an important part of the modernization strategy aimed at implementing the concept of "Strong President – Influential Parliament – Accountable Government". As a result, the effectiveness, openness and efficiency of the entire political system of the country will increase. The political influence and role of the highest representative body will also be strengthened. In this regard, the text of a fundamentally new Basic Law of the country was prepared and published. The new Constitution was developed on the basis of proposals from citizens, public institutions, political parties and lawyers, and substantive discussions were held openly and transparently at the meetings of the commission. The new Constitution lays the foundation for the long-term prosperity of our country», - Maulen Ashimbayev said in his speech.
In addition, the members of the Bureau decided to consider at the upcoming meeting of the Chamber the Law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Support and Development of Creative Industries". The provisions of this Law are aimed at modernizing the cultural sphere and forming creative industries as an independent and economically significant sector.
In addition, the deputies distributed among the standing committees the laws previously adopted by the Majilis.
