The 1/8 final stage of the Senate Chess Cup - 2026 continues in the regions of the country. The tournament is held according to the approved schedule and consistently covers various categories of participants, bringing together representatives of professional and public communities. Last week, competitions were held in several regions at once.
In Astana, tournaments were held among representatives of the education sector with the participation of 100 people, as well as in the category of culture, where 67 participants sat down at the chess boards.
In the Kostanay region, the stage of the 1/8 finals was held among civil servants - 62 participants, and in the field of culture, in which 42 people took part.
In Almaty, competitions continued among cultural workers with the participation of 71 chess players, as well as among employees of the healthcare sector, where 84 participants took to the start.
The games were also held in the Aktobe region, where competitions were held among representatives of the internal affairs bodies - 87 participants and among civil servants, which brought together 66 people.
In addition, in the Atyrau region, the stage of the 1/8 finals was held among 80 civil servants, and in the Karaganda region, competitions were held among scientists and educators, continuing the formation of the composition of participants in this category.
Thus, the stage of the Senate Cup - 2026 is consistently developing, expanding the geography and involving new categories of participants. Regional competitions continue, and in the near future the tournament will be held in other regions of the country.
