Senate Member Bibigul Zheksenbay held a meeting with students and faculty of the Kazakh National University of Arts.
The main topic of discussion was the provisions of the draft new Constitution and the significance of the reforms being implemented in the country. The senator noted that the proposed changes are aimed at improving the public administration system, strengthening the rule of law, and enhancing guarantees of citizens' rights and security.
Particular attention was paid to the role of youth in implementing constitutional reforms, fostering active citizenship, and promoting their participation in the country's socio-political life. The meeting also addressed prospects for the development of science and education, as well as the university community's contribution to Kazakhstan's socio-economic development.
Furthermore, the senator spoke at an event dedicated to World NGO Day, where she noted the importance of the civil society sector in shaping a Just Kazakhstan. In her speech, she emphasized that non-governmental organizations are full participants in state development and an important element of the public oversight system. The senator outlined the achievements of recent years, including the adoption of the Concept for the Development of Civil Society until 2030, the Law "On Public Control," the introduction of online petitions, and the updating of regulations on peaceful assemblies, volunteering, charity, and state social procurement. She emphasized that the draft new Constitution is focused on human-centeredness, strengthens the protection of citizens' rights in the digital environment, and enshrines a partnership model of interaction between the state and society.
Following the events, it was noted that the active participation of young people and the civil society in the discussion of the draft new Constitution contributes to strengthening the principles of justice and the country's sustainable development.
