The Senate will consider a package of key laws at a House meeting.

A Bureau meeting chaired by Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev took place today. Deputies set the agenda for the Chamber's meeting scheduled for June 4.

At the upcoming meeting of the Chamber, Bureau members decided to consider the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Issues of Bringing Them into Line with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Improving the Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Elections, the Prosecutor's Office, and Social Security" and the accompanying Law "On Amendments and Additions to the Criminal, Criminal Procedure, and Criminal-Executive Codes of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses on the Issues of Bringing Them into Line with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Improving the Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Elections and the Prosecutor's Office." The main purpose of these documents is to align legislative acts with the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, improve election procedures, and certain areas of national legislation.

At the same time, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Science, Science-Intensive Territories, Social Security, Education, Healthcare, and Military Service" was also included on the agenda. The legislative norms, as noted, are aimed at improving legal mechanisms for regulating public relations in the field of science and scientific and technical activities, strengthening the connection between education, science, and the economy, and increasing the efficiency of social and government systems.

At the upcoming meeting, senators will also consider the Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and Supplements to the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses," "On Amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan," and a number of other laws.

During the meeting, deputies also distributed laws previously adopted by the Mazhilis among the standing committees and discussed the Senate's Work Plan for implementing the instructions of the Head of State.
