Members of the Senate Committee on Finance and Budget held an extended meeting to discuss the Report of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the opinion of the Supreme Audit Chamber on the report of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Execution of the Republican Budget for 2025."
During the meeting, key indicators of the republican budget execution, the efficiency of budgetary funds, and the results of the state audit were reviewed. Participants discussed ensuring budget discipline, improving the quality of public expenditure planning, and further enhancing financial control mechanisms.
Representatives of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Finance, budget program administrators, and representatives of the quasi-public sector participated in the discussion. Representatives of the Supreme Audit Chamber, the National Bank, and the Ministry of Finance presented information on the results of the republican budget execution for 2025 and answered questions from senators.
Particular attention was paid to the effectiveness of budget expenditures, the implementation of state programs, and measures to improve the efficiency of public financial management. Senators discussed the violations and deficiencies identified during the audit, as well as ways to address them to ensure more efficient use of budget resources.
Following the meeting, the Committee decided to submit the Report of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the conclusion of the Supreme Audit Chamber on the execution of the national budget for 2025 for consideration by the Chamber.
