An expanded session of the Committee on Agrarian Issues, Nature Management and Rural Development was held, where the deputies considered the draft law On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Grain”.
The draft Law was developed for the purpose of guaranteed provision of the country with food grain in case of natural and man-made emergencies. It will allow establishing a stabilization fund through the purchase and supply of grain at the expense of local budgets, thereby reimbursing the operator's expenses for the storage of the reserve stock.
Amendments to the law will also ensure stabilization of the domestic market and contribute to the development of export infrastructure in the grain industry.
The Committee on Agrarian Issues, Nature Management and Rural Development introduced the draft law for the consideration by the Senate.
