A meeting of the Senate Bureau was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev where the deputies discussed the agenda of the forthcoming session of the Senate that will take place on 8 April 2021.
At the session of the Chamber, the senators will consider the draft law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on Cooperation in the Field of Migration.
The Agreement will allow simplifying information exchange concerning the regulation of migration processes between the two countries. Therefore, the countries will be able to share statistics, legal and research and methodological information as well as the data about the citizens of the two states staying in their territories.
The senators will also discuss the draft law On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan Concerning Tourism Activity.
The draft law provides for determination of the Top-10 priority tourist areas in the country. If investors decide to build tourist facilities there, they will be provided with preferences.
During the meeting of the Bureau, the draft laws submitted by the Mazhilis were allocated between the Standing Committees of the Senate.
