A meeting of the Chamber was chaired by Maulen Ashimbayev. At the meeting, the senators considered and adopted the Law “On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of migration.”
The agreement is aimed at creating a legal framework for cooperation between the two countries in the field of migration and the implementation of joint measures to counter illegal migration.
From now on, the parties will be able to exchange information and data about the violations of migration legislation and channels of illegal migration, about legal entities and individuals operating in the territories of the two parties involved in the organization and implementation of illegal migration.
“This document creates additional opportunities for the proper protection of the interests of our citizens in Azerbaijan. We hope that in the future this Law will regulate the migration sphere and contribute to the further development of cooperation between the two countries,” Maulen Ashimbayev said.
During the meeting, the senators also voiced parliamentary inquiries. Sergey Yershov spoke about the need to improve the material and technical equipment of civil protection bodies and the social status of their employees. Abdali Nuraliyev raised the problems of the country’s environment and indicated the ways to solve them.
