Senator Akhylbek Kurishbayev met with entrepreneurs during his visit to large industrial and commercial facilities of the capital.
Specifically, he visited the special economic zone “Astana-New City” in Nur-Sultan, where he got acquainted with the work of the industrial construction company specializing in the introduction of modular technologies in the construction of residential houses.
During the meeting, entrepreneurs voiced several problematic issues concerning the activities of special economic zones and the need to amend the Land Code. Akhylbek Kurishbayev assured them that he will not leave this issue unattended and will keep raising it in the course of his lawmaking activities.
The senator also familiarized himself with the efforts of the Social-Entrepreneurial Corporation “Astana” to control prices for food products and visited the metropolitan trading facilities.
Akhylbek Kurishbayev noted the underperformance of the SEC in controlling the prices of food products through shopping malls. He also suggested expanding the list of socially important goods regulated by the state. Because, according to the senator, in 2011, the state regulated prices for 30 of these types of food products, and now there are only 19.
Additionally, the senator has held a meeting with the chairmen of Property Owners’ Associations (POA) and residents of apartment houses. He learned about the work of the new organizations, which have now replaced the previously existing Cooperatives of Apartment Owners, and heard the worries of their functioning.
