A Bureau meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Chamber, Maulen Ashimbayev, at which deputies approved the agenda of the Senate meeting scheduled for October 21, 2021.
The agenda of the upcoming meeting includes the issue of the presentation of the Chairman of the Senate "On the appointment of a member of the Accounts Committee for Control over the execution of the republican budget."
At the same time, senators will consider two bills. One of them is "On the ratification of the Protocol on the Protection of the Caspian Sea from Pollution from Land-based Sources and as a Result of Activities carried out on Land to the Framework Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Caspian Sea". The document will contribute to the prevention and reduction of marine pollution from land-based sources. In addition, the ratification of the Minutes will allow the use of the best available technologies and environmental practices.
The deputies will also consider in the second reading the draft law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on public procurement, procurement of subsoil users and natural monopolies, communications, road transport and defense". The draft law provides for the implementation of public procurement by means of a single source through the direct conclusion of a contract only in exceptional cases.
In addition, the draft Law "On ratification of the Minutes on amendments and additions to the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on the Creation of Baiterek Space rocket complex at Baikonur Cosmodrome dated December 22, 2004" received earlier from the Majilis at the Bureau meeting was submitted to the Committee on International Relations, Defense and Security.
