At an expanded session of the Senate Committee on Finance and Budget, deputies discussed the bill on ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the United States on improving international tax discipline.
Under the document, the governments of the two states will provide mutual aid in taxation issues using effective infrastructure for the automatic exchange of information. It also entails the establishment of a procedure for the discharge of obligations on the automatic exchange of information, the determination of rules, and procedures for cooperation.
It is expected that the suggested norms will become an additional tool for the collection and administration of taxes for Kazakhstan, preventing the avoidance of taxation of its citizens and, accordingly, increasing the proceeds to the state budget.
The bill was decided to send to the House for consideration.
