Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olga Bulavkina met with professors and students of Amanzholov University as part of her working visit to the Region. The main topic of discussion was the referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Senator informed the participants about the main supposed changes connected with democratization of the order of formation of the representative bodies, strengthening of their powers and strengthening of the mechanisms of protection of the rights of citizens.
"Changing of the Constitution through the National Referendum will be a bright demonstration of the expression of the people's will, will allow every citizen to take a direct part in deciding the fate of the country and will strengthen our course for comprehensive democratization and building of the New Kazakhstan", - said the deputy.
