Chairman of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Defense and Security Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Northern Macedonia to the Republic of Kazakhstan Sali Limani.
In his welcoming speech, Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed noted that Kazakhstan considers Northern Macedonia as an important political partner and friendly country in the Balkan Region. As young states, our countries share common features of development and demonstrate a desire to intensify bilateral ties.
"As of today, our states do not have any disagreements of political or other nature, which creates favorable prerequisites for intensifying bilateral interaction. Kazakhstan is interested in developing the political dialogue, increasing trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation with Northern Macedonia, and is ready to act as a reliable partner for Skopje in Central Asia and the Eurasian Economic Union," - said Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed.
In turn, Sali Limani thanked Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed and the leadership of the Senate for the reception, as well as for the opportunity to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation between the countries.
During the meeting the interlocutors also touched upon the commonality of the approaches of Kazakhstan and Northern Macedonia on the most topical issues of bilateral relations and international politics. It was noted that the similarity of basic foreign policy priorities, the common desire to be active participants in the fundamental processes taking place in the world, is a good basis for taking Kazakh-Macedonian relations to a whole new level of partnership.
