Members of the Senate Bureau have approved the agenda of the Session of the House, scheduled for June 28, 2022.
At the Bureau meeting deputies plan to consider draft laws "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Combating Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, as well as State Price Regulation", "On Amendments and Additions to the Code of Administrative Offences on Issues of Combating Illegal Proceeds Legalization (Laundering) and Terrorist Financing".
Documents are developed to improve legislation and national system of combating legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and terrorist financing. Also the bill and the accompanying Code provides for strengthening of criminal liability for legalization of criminal funds and the establishment of criminal penalties in the form of confiscation of property for a number of criminal offenses.
In addition, senators will consider draft laws "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Combating Activity of Financial (Investment) Pyramids", "On Amendments and Additions to the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offences on Issues of Combating Activity of Financial (Investment) Pyramids" and "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Incentives for Innovation, Development of Digitalization, Information Security and Education".
