Draft laws on administrative reform are aimed at improving the system of public administration

Senator Suindik Aldashev chaired an expanded meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship. At it, the senators considered the draft law "On introducing amendments and additions to some constitutional laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues of administrative reform of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

The bill was developed to improve the public administration system by decentralizing the powers of central government bodies.

Thus, the draft law provides for amendments to the Constitutional Laws “On the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the status of its deputies”, “On the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “On the judicial system and the status of judges of the Republic of Kazakhstan” and “On state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

It is expected that the adoption of the draft law will increase the flexibility, efficiency and independence of central government bodies in decision-making in regulated areas.

Also, during the meeting, the draft Law "On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues of administrative reform of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was considered.

The bill was developed to implement a new administrative reform to decentralize powers between levels of government by increasing the responsibility and efficiency of central and local executive bodies in decision-making.

The adoption of the draft law will increase the autonomy of the relevant levels of government and strengthen the personal responsibility of the heads of state bodies.
