Bibigul Zheksenbay took part in the Plenary meeting of TurkPA

Bibigul Zheksenbay a member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the Plenary meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic States. The senator discussed the importance of parliamentary diplomacy for building a more just world together with colleagues from Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Azerbaijan. The participants paid special attention to the issues of combating modern challenges in the fields of energy, migration and food security.

At the same time, Bibigul Zheksenbay took part in the work of the Group of Women Parliamentarians of the Turkic States, dedicated to the issue of introducing mandatory quotas for women in leadership positions in national companies and state enterprises. In her speech, the parliamentarian noted the need for an active dialogue and concrete actions in this direction.

“I urge my colleagues from the parliaments of TURKPA to develop a comprehensive program and a specific action plan to solve the problems that concern our society. It is necessary to support the exchange of experience and continue work on the convergence of legislation in this area,” Bibigul Zheksenbay said.

Also, the deputy briefed the meeting participants on the reforms being carried out in Kazakhstan to strengthen gender equality.
