Deputies of the Senate Committee on Agrarian Affairs, Nature Management and Rural Development met with representatives of state bodies, with whom they discussed the implementation of the proposals made during the trip to Akmola region.

In his welcoming speech, the Chairman of the Committee Ali Bektaev noted that on May 12 this year, the senators held an off-site meeting in the Akmola region and met with the agrarians of the region. The villagers then raised a number of problems that the senators, in turn, analyzed, posed to the relevant state bodies.

“Deputies of the Senate establish close contacts with all regions of the country, raise topical issues of these regions at the republican level. That is why trips to the regions and meetings of senators with local farmers are ultimately aimed at solving the existing pressing issues. Today we intend to sum up some results of the trip to the Akmola region and hear the plans of the responsible state bodies to address existing issues,” Ali Bektaev said.

The event was attended by the Vice Minister of Agriculture, representatives of the Akimat of the Akmola region and other government agencies, agricultural producers.

During the meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture told the senators about the work done regarding state support for agricultural producers, providing fodder, holding special veterinary measures and developing a work plan to protect the domestic market.

As a result of the event, the participants developed a number of proposals aimed at further development of rural areas.
