Dariga Nazarbayeva visited the charity festival “Melodies of Magic”, which is held to support children without parental care and children with disabilities

Chairman of the Senate, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Humanitarian Fund “Degdar” Dariga Nazarbayeva visited the Open Space event in the framework of the festival “Melodies of Magic” for 90 children from the Uryupinsk orphanage and pupils of the capital’s Palace of Schoolchildren.

The festival “Melodies of Magic” is organized by the Degdar Foundation to support children left without parental care and children with special needs.

At the beginning of the event, children saw the Theater of Special Actors. After the performance, children took part in master-classes in painting, cooking, pottery and modern dance, could visit a club on robotics, a virtual laboratory and a laboratory in chemistry. An extensive entertainment program for young guests was prepared by animators, clowns, magicians and jugglers.

Dariga Nazarbayeva expressed special gratitude to teachers working with children without parental care and with children with special needs: “I am very grateful to the educators and teachers who do everything possible to ensure that the life of children was as complete as possible, so that it was filled with interesting things. Thank you very much and a low bow to you.”

The Chairman of the Senate also said that the experience of the Theater of Special Actors in Petropavlovsk was decided to use throughout the country, and today, together with the Ministry of Culture and Sports, a project is being developed to create inclusive studios at existing theaters.

Addressing the children, Dariga Nazarbayeva congratulated everyone on the upcoming holidays – the Independence Day of Kazakhstan and New Year: “I want to wish you on New Year’s Eve that all your wishes that you make come true. I am sure they will all come true.”

As part of the festival, the Humanitarian Fund “Degdar” is collecting donations, which will be directed to the needs of four rural orphanages in Akmola, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda and Kostanay regions.
