The Law “On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on the organization of information exchange and simplification of customs control procedures” is aimed at increasing the efficiency and reducing the time for customs control through electronic exchange of information on goods and vehicles moving between the two countries.

In particular, the Agreement provides for a priority procedure for crossing the border at checkpoints, simplification of customs formalities in order to reduce the time of customs control, exemption from customs inspection at checkpoints, except for cases where there are signs of offenses in the field of customs and smuggling.

According to the senators, the ratification of the Agreement will contribute to the simplification and optimization of customs procedures, the creation of favorable conditions for participants in foreign economic activity, which, in turn, will improve conditions for carriers of goods.
