Senators ratified the Agreement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Turkey

A meeting of the Chamber was held under the chairmanship of Maulen Ashimbaev, the Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The deputies reviewed and approved the Law “On the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on the organization of information exchange and simplification of customs control procedures,” and also voiced their parliamentary requests.

Commenting on the approved law, Maulen Ashimbaev noted that the Agreement defines the procedure for the exchange of electronic information about goods and vehicles transported between the two states. In addition, in accordance with the norms of the Agreement, it is expected that the time frame will be reduced and the efficiency of customs control procedures will be increased.

“The agreement establishes the procedure for crossing the border. Exemption from customs inspection and simplification of other customs procedures are provided. I am confident that the law will have a positive impact on the development of economic cooperation between our countries,” the Chairman of the Chamber emphasized in his speech.

During the meeting, the senators also voiced their parliamentary requests.

Akmaral Alnazarova called on the Government to increase grants for training in medical specialties.

Zhanbolat Zhorgenbaev raised the problem of inefficient use of water and deterioration of hydraulic structures in the regions of the Almaty region. The senator proposed making a number of changes to the Roadmap to ensure efficient water consumption in agriculture for 2023-2026.

Serik Shaidarov, following meetings with residents of the region, expressed concern about the deterioration of the infrastructure of Zhezkazgan. In particular, he focused the Prime Minister’s attention on the condition of the thermal power plant, the construction of the Exkulinsky water pipeline, the reconstruction of the Uytas-Aido water pipeline and other objects requiring immediate intervention.

Amangeldy Tolamisov focused on problems in the field of child adoption. The deputy considers it important to strengthen the legal responsibility of the parties.

Kairat Tastekeev outlined the need to strengthen the national system of technical and vocational education.

Andrei Lukin, raising problems in the field of veterinary control, called for an end to the practice of taking samples of products of animal origin without paying expenses to entrepreneurs.
