At a meeting of the Senate Bureau chaired by the Speaker of the Chamber Maulen Ashimbaev, the deputies discussed the priorities of the Chamber’s work for the new session, taking into account the tasks outlined by the Head of State in the Address. In addition, the agenda for the Senate meeting, which will take place on September 14, was determined.
During the meeting, deputies discussed the updated Plan of the main events of the Chamber for the 2nd session of the 8th convocation. In this regard, Maulen Ashimbaev called on his colleagues to carry out their work in an open and transparent format, and to more actively participate in dialogue platforms together with colleagues and the expert community.
“The plan of the main events of the Senate for the second session was developed taking into account the tasks set by the Head of State in the Address to the People. These events should be held openly, with the participation of stakeholders, experts, specialists in various fields and business representatives. It is important to actively involve representatives of maslikhats in joint legislative work,” summarized the Chairman of the Senate.
At the upcoming meeting of the Senate, deputies will consider a number of laws relating to international activities.
In addition, the deputies distributed laws adopted by the Mazhilis of the Parliament among the permanent Committees of the Senate.
