24.09.2025 566

A meeting between deputies and a delegation from the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Morocco took place in the Senate of the Parliament. The negotiations were chaired by the Head of the Committee on Economic Policy, Innovative Development, and Entrepreneurship, Suindik Aldashev, who emphasized readiness for the further deepening of bilateral ties.

The senator noted that Kazakhstan and Morocco are linked by relations of trust and mutual respect. According to him, Morocco is viewed by our country as one of the key partners not only in Africa but also in the Islamic world. The potential for cooperation covers a wide range of areas – from economics and investment to cultural and humanitarian ties.

«The volume of trade and economic cooperation has grown significantly in recent years. In 2024, trade turnover amounted to 274 million US dollars, and by the end of seven months of the current year, it reached 250 million dollars, which is 70% higher than the figure for the same period last year», -  the senator stressed, noting the significant potential for further growth.

The investment and technological spheres also remain a promising area of cooperation.

«Kazakhstani companies are implementing new projects in Morocco, including the introduction of intelligent transport systems and the construction of an industrial enterprise with investments of about 25 million dollars. These initiatives testify to the high potential for interaction in innovation and production», - said Suindik Aldashev.

The meeting participants noted that the visit of the Moroccan delegation will be an important step toward expanding inter-parliamentary dialogue and developing comprehensive partnership. The parties expressed confidence that the friendly ties between Kazakhstan and Morocco will continue to strengthen consistently.
