During the meeting with Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Vicar of His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, the importance of the Congress in the current post-pandemic period was highlighted. The parties noted that the Forum gives a clear signal to the entire international community that dialogue and mutual support is the only way to effectively overcome the challenges facing the world today.

In the course of the meeting with Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council, the key attention was paid to education and religious upbringing of the younger generation.

The interlocutors expressed the opinion that religious figures, international organizations, politicians and parliamentarians, as the most influential representatives of the general public, should be actively involved in the process of countering extremism and terrorism.

During the meeting with the Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Duarte Pacheco, Maulen Ashimbayev noted that this was the first time the Inter-Parliamentary Union was represented at the highest level at the Congress.

The Senate Speaker informed the guests about the ongoing political reforms in Kazakhstan, initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He also talked about priority directions of the Address of the Head of the State and the constitutional reforms implying changes in the mechanism for electing members of Parliament and Maslikhats.

The participants of the meeting, in their turn, highly appreciated the efforts of Kazakhstan on promotion of inter-civilization and inter-religious dialogue and support of cultural diversity. In the opinion of religious leaders, Kazakhstan's successful experience in this sphere should be studied and discussed, serving as an example for other countries.
