Chairman of the Senate Maulen Ashimbaev held a meeting with the General Director of Tengizchevroil LLP Kevin Lyon, during which the parties discussed topical issues of the oil industry and the company's work plan.
The interlocutors discussed the introduction of advanced technologies into production, which is especially relevant in the context of Kazakhstan's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060, as well as in connection with the problem of water shortage, which earlier at the Astana International Forum held in early June of this year, the Head of State designated as one of the main challenges of our time.
Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the field of gas supplies aimed at meeting the country's domestic needs.
For his part, Kevin Line spoke about the company's plans for the coming period and expressed his readiness for cooperation.
