Within the framework of a working visit to the Vatican, the Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament, Head of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions Maulen Ashimbayev met with the Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta Fra’ John Timothy Dunlap, as well as with the Grand Chancellor Riccardo di Montecupo. The parties discussed issues of strengthening cooperation, outlined prospects for expanding multilateral ties and exchanged views regarding the implementation of joint projects.
Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament, Head of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions Maulen Ashimbayev arrived in the Vatican on a working visit with a group of deputies. Within the framework of the visit, members of the Kazakhstan delegation attended an audience with Pope Leo XIV and took part in the work of an international round table dedicated to the interfaith initiatives of Kazakhstan and the spiritual leadership of the Vatican. On the sidelines of the conference, Maulen Ashimbayev also held bilateral meetings with the Prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue Cardinal George Koovakad and other representatives of religious affairs organizations.
Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhakip Asanov met with the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan Aleska Simkic. Deputies of the Committee on Socio-Cultural Development and Science took part in the discussion. The parties considered a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation.

On the agenda of the meeting, prospects of cooperation on promoting spiritual diplomacy and expanding international partnership were outlined.
Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament Maulen Ashimbayev met with the Supreme Judge of Palestine, Advisor to the President of Palestine on Religious Affairs Dr. Mahmoud Sidqi Al-Habbash. The interlocutors discussed issues of strengthening cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organizations and exchanged views on the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
Senate deputies Ali Bektaev, Nurlan Bekenov and Aigul Kapbarova met with a delegation of deputies of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the «Justice and Development Party» for relations with Turkic countries, Kürşad Zorlu. The parties discussed issues of further deepening inter-parliamentary cooperation and expanding Kazakh-Turkish partnership in a number of areas.
Kazakhstani parliamentarians, led by the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament, Maulen Ashimbayev, took part in the meetings of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS, which were held today in the capital of Tajikistan – the city of Dushanbe. The parliamentary delegation met with the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and on the sidelines of the IPA, the Speaker of the Senate held a series of bilateral meetings with the heads of the Chambers of Parliaments of the IPA CIS member states.
Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the RK Nurlan Bekenov took part in the international parliamentary training course «Legislative and policy measures to prevent and counter the use of artificial intelligence and new technologies for terrorism and violent extremism».
A meeting was held in the Senate between Deputy Chairwoman Olga Perepechina and the Head of the regional office of the UN Population Fund for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan, Chinwe Ogbonna.
