On July 4, 2019, a Working Group was set up on behalf of the Senate Chairman Dariga Nazarbayeva to develop proposals to ensure the rights and improve the quality of life of people with disabilities.
The Working Group includes members of Parliament, representatives of central and local executive bodies, employees of social and educational institutions, representatives of international and non-governmental organizations. In total, the Working Group held 8 meetings, as a result of which 59 proposals were submitted.
The collected recommendations are aimed to ensure the rights and improve the quality of life of all categories of people with disabilities.
In turn, Dariga Nazarbayeva instructed the official website of the Senate to publish the proposals of the Working Group for discussion and receiving proposals from citizens.
