WE HAVE DOCTORS, TRUE PROFESSIONALS

10.07.2020 238

The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, appealed to the people of Kazakhstan and announced new measures against the epidemic.

After the President's words, we have confidence that we will defeat the pandemic. Our people survived many challenges, our ancestors went through the terrible years of the Famine Genocide, the Great Patriotic War, the years of perestroika in the 1990s, various crises. Of course, no country was prepared for the coronavirus pandemic, including us. But the President said, "We can handle it!" Our descendants should live and enjoy life.

Yes, we can't help making mistakes. The country's leadership admitted it, and this step was very bold. Not everyone is capable of admitting mistakes. But taking them into account, we have a good opportunity to carefully and scrupulously deal with the treatment of those infected with the virus.

Unfortunately, many Kazakhstani people have faced this misfortune, people are losing their loved ones. But now it is important for us to prevent a rebound in cases. We all should keep social distance as much as possible, try to avoid panic, and not believe in emotional fake news. We have doctors, true professionals.

The most important thing is that the measures taken by the Government are really well-timed. We have been able to assess the situation, understand what exactly is needed to treat patients. Additional emergency medical teams are being formed now. Additional beds are being deployed in hospitals and mobile hospitals to treat patients with CVI and pneumonia. The Ministry of Healthcare has reduced the period and process for registration of new pharmaceutical drugs, which is very important now that we are losing people. Necessary medicines, PCR tests are delivered to pharmacies, new laboratories are opened to diagnose as many people as possible These measures should help us overcome the invisible enemy.

I express my sincere condolences to the families who are now in pain of loss. We grieve with you.

Erik SULTANOV,

Member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan
