Senator Baktybay Chelpekov is visiting Mangistau region where he has already had several meetings with the leadership of the region, maslikhat deputies, businessmen, public activists and educators. Talking to the heads of various agencies the Senate Deputy discussed the plans for the further development of the region.
The Senator noted that the parliamentarians had done significant work during the last session to implement the modernization agenda of the Head of the State. The changes also affected the education system. Baktybay Chelpekov highlighted the importance of preparing the local schools for the new academic year, providing teachers and students with computers and Internet access for distant learning during the pandemic.
The issues of schools financing, the teacher’s status improvement and the new rules for the appointment of directors of educational institutions were also discussed at the meeting. Deputy Baktybay Chelpekov explained in detail the adopted amendments to the legislation in the field of education. The Senator paid special attention to the prevention of child crime.
“Any conflicts between the students both in and outside educational institutions should be prevented. The closest attention must be paid to this”, said Baktybay Chelpekov.
The Senator also met with energy workers of the region and discussed with them the existing problems and development prospects of the industry. The visit of the Senate Deputy to Mangistau region goes on. Trips to districts, visiting backbone enterprises and healthcare institutions, meetings with healthcare workers and local population are planned.
