The agenda of the upcoming plenary session has been discussed and the draft laws received from the Mazhilis has been distributed among the Committees at the last meeting of the Senate Bureau chaired by Maulen Ashimbayev, Speaker of the Chamber.
During the meeting of the Senate Bureau Maulen Ashimbayev drew the attention of the deputies on the Republican budget proposal for three years, which was submitted to the Parliament on September 1. The Chairman of the Senate specified the exact terms of work on the main financial document of the country.
“We must pass this law before December 1. You are aware about that. Therefore, the deputies of the Senate, together with their colleagues from the Mazhilis, have begun work on this draft law. Timely and high-quality adoption of the draft law on the Republican budget depends on the effective interaction of the Parliament and the Government”, Maulen Ashimbayev said.
The Speaker of the Senate reminded that the society pays special attention to the distribution of state funds. The society is raising the requirements for planning the Republican budget. This is the right tendency, Maulen Ashimbayev believes. Therefore, parliamentarians need to study the draft law very closely and elaborate it, considering the existing requests from the society.
The agenda of the upcoming plenary session, which will be held on September 24, was also determined at the meeting of the Senate Bureau. The deputies will consider the draft law “On ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Protocol on terms and transitional provisions on the application of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014, by the Kyrgyz Republic, individual international treaties included in the law of the Eurasian Economic Union, and acts of the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union in connection with the accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014, signed on May 8, 2015”. Senators submitted for consideration of the Chamber the draft law “On ratification of the Treaty between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates on the transfer of convicted persons”.
In addition, draft laws received from the Mazhilis were distributed among the Committees in the course of the meeting. The head of the draft law “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Culture” is the Committee for Social and Cultural Development and Science. The Committee on Constitutional Legislation, Judicial System and Law Enforcement Agencies was instructed to prepare a conclusion on the draft law “On the ratification of the Treaty between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Ukraine on legal assistance in criminal cases”.
