Kyrgyzstan will complete modernization of customs points by August 15, 2021

An extended meeting of the Finance and Budget Committee has been held in the Senate, at which the deputies considered the draft law “On ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Protocol on terms and transitional provisions on the application of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014, by the Kyrgyz Republic, individual international treaties included in the law of the Eurasian Economic Union, and acts of the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union in connection with the accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014, signed on May 8, 2015”.

The document refers to the extension of the period for the modernization of  entry points of the Kyrgyz Republic at the customs border of the EAEU in accordance with the requirements governing customs legal relations of international treaties and acts constituting the EAEU law, up to 72 months from the date of entry into force of the Treaty. During this period, the Kyrgyz Republic needs to bring the external entry points into proper condition, install equipment for veterinary, sanitary, phytosanitary, radiation control and portable equipment for customs control, including inspection X-ray equipment.

The document has been transferred for consideration by the Chamber.
