A session of the House took place under the chairmanship of Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev.
Deputies considered the bill “On Making Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Republican Budget for 2020-2022”.
The revision of the republican budget along with its adjustment is aimed at funding efforts to combat the pandemic, fulfilling the social obligations of the state, supporting the real sector of the economy under the government programs “Nurly Zhol” and “Nurly Zher”, and the development of the agro-industrial complex and the industrial-innovative development program.
According to the Senate Speaker, the adjustment adopted today is of great relevance to the country.
“The republican budget adjustment is intended for performing the social assignments of the President, recovery of economic growth and combating the pandemic. This year has turned out to be a difficult one. Nevertheless, the Head of State takes all necessary measures to fulfill all the social obligations of the state to the population,” Maulen Ashimbayev said.
In the words of the House Chairman, in the course of the republican budget adjustment, particular attention is drawn to the resolution of social issues and support of the real economy sectors.
“Many topical issues were raised by deputies of the Senate in the discussion of the bills. We believe that the Government will give them close attention and undertake comprehensive efforts for their positive resolution. It is our hope that all the money allocated from the republican budget will be spent in a qualitative and efficient manner and will be used to increase the well-being of the people and recovery of the national economy,” the Senate Speaker told.
Senate deputies also passed the bill “On Making Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Guaranteed Transfer from the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020 – 2022”.
The bill defines the size of the guaranteed transfer from the National Fund to the republican budget for 2020 in the amount of 4,770 billion KZT.
Senators also announced a number of deputy requests at the session. The issues of the construction of the “Shalkar – Emba - Kandagash” highway under the “Center – West” project implementation have been outlined in the appeal of Baurzhan Kaniyev. Also Vladimir Volkov touched on the penal enforcement system issues. Senator Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed made a request about the 100th anniversary of Salyk Zimanov, a famous scientist and public figure.
