Senators will consider changes to legislation on water supply

A meeting of the Bureau was held under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Chamber Maulen Ashimbayev.

The Chairman of the Senate noted that the citizens of Kazakhstan widely participated in the elections of deputies of the Mazhilis and Maslikhats of all levels.

 “The first session of the Parliament of Kazakhstan of the 7th convocation will open soon. The President of the country will set specific tasks for the further political, socio-economic development of Kazakhstan to the renewed composition of the deputy corps. And the Parliament will need to adopt high-quality laws for the effective implementation of all the initiatives of the Head of State”, Maulen Ashimbayev said.

At the meeting of the Bureau, the deputies distributed the draft laws approved by the Mazhilis and discussed the agenda for the upcoming meeting of the Senate, which will be held on January 14, 2021.

Thus, the senators will consider in the first reading the draft law “On amendments and additions to the Water Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the delimitation of powers between local representative, central and local executive bodies for subsidizing drinking water supply”. The adoption of this Law is aimed at optimizing drinking water supply procedures in rural areas, as well as accelerating the inclusion of newly built systems in the list of privileged facilities.

In addition, the Deputies will discuss the draft Law “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the State Registration of Rights to Immovable Property and Legal Entities”, developed on the initiative of the deputies of the Parliament. The draft law will optimize the registration processes and the procedure for the provision of public services, including in electronic format.

Moreover, the senators will consider the issue of creating a Commission to control the use of the electronic system and the work of its operating personnel.
