Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the visits of the Chamber deputies to the regions to hold meetings to discuss the upcoming Referendum, the proposed changes and additions to the Constitution. Currently more than 150 events were held, mainly in small towns, villages and remote auls.

Based on the results of the visits of senators, an analysis was made of the most pressing issues of concern to citizens. Among them were the increase in prices of goods, the condition of roads, employment issues, the provision of drinking water, gas supply, accessibility of medical care and others.

The President noted the need to continue working with the Government and local executive bodies to address these issues.

Maulen Ashimbayev informed about strengthening cooperation with the legislative bodies of the states in the region. Thus, last week senators took part in the inter-parliamentary forum "Central Asia - Russia" in Ashgabat.

The new format of interaction will strengthen the joint work of the deputies to assist in solving such pressing problems such as the environmental situation in the Aral Sea area, joint use of transboundary rivers, cross-border cooperation, as well as issues of regional security in the context of the situation in Afghanistan.
