Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Dariga Nazarbayeva, senators visited the performance “We be of one blood” of the Theater of Special Actors.
The idea of creating a unique theater arose in the National Delphic Committee of Kazakhstan a few years ago and came to life in the Year of Youth. Thanks to this project, 50 young children with disabilities aged 12 to 22 years, involved in the performance, discovered another wonderful world – the world of theater.
The performance of the Theater of Special Actors from the city of Petropavlovsk of the North Kazakhstan region in Nur-Sultan was supported by the Degdar charity fund.
The performance was based on Rudyard Kipling’s novel “The Jungle Book”. The dynamic performance of the actors emotionally conveys the modern realities of Kazakhstan through the image of the conflict between the deaf-and-dumb boy and the world around him. The hero has to overcome difficulties in the jungle like people with disabilities in society.
After the performance, the Speaker of the Senate met with the actors and managers of the theater, thanked the participants of the social project. Dariga Nazarbayeva shared her impressions of the performance, especially noted the talented play of children.
“We really want this theater to live, to become permanent, to open such theaters all over the country. This is a wonderful project that needs to be supported and developed. Each of you has a talent. You are special children. Special – because you have a special talent. You have a huge potential,” Dariga Nazarbayeva said.
At the end of the meeting Dariga Nazarbayeva together with the deputies of the Senate, heads of state bodies and project managers discussed the systemic steps of society and the state to support and develop youth and children’s social and volunteer projects.
