Biography

Nurtore Baitelessovich Zhussip is a Kazakh journalist and a public figure. The editor-in-chief of the republican social and political daily newspaper AIQYN (since 2008). He is a member of the Academy of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan (2016).

BIOGRAPHY

Nurtore Baitelessovich Zhussip was born on April 29, 1961, in Kerdeli village of Chieli district, Kyzylorda region.

Father - Baiteles Zhussipov (1918-1985), mother - Rabiga Baidildayevna (b. 1925), pensioner, Mother-Heroine, rice grower.

He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Kirov Kazakh State University in 1984.

He has been a member of the National Commission for the Implementation of the Public Consciousness Modernization Program under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan since 2017.

He is the author of books: Biz Kimnen Kembіz? (2001), Qаzаqtyn Qyzy (2004), Eles Pen Beles (2006), Myn Qurmyska Zhane Biz.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• He began his career as a journalist in the agro-industrial department of the Pavlodar regional newspaper “Sary Arka Samaly”. In this newspaper, he worked as the head of the transport and communications department, and the deputy editor-in-chief.
• 1990-1996 - Senior Correspondent, Deputy Editor-in-Chief for Economic Affairs of the Republican newspaper Egemen Kazakhstan
• 1996-2002 - editor-in-chief of newspapers Zhas Alash, Ak Zhol Kazakhstan, Egemen Kazakhstan, and Astana Khabary.
• 2008-present - Editor-in-chief of the republican social and political daily newspaper AIQYN.
• He was appointed a member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on August 12, 2019, by the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
