Maulen Ashimbayev, the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament, met with the Tatsuhiko Kasai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
They addressed prospects for inter-parliamentary relations, and issues of bilateral economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Maulen Ashimbayev reiterated the interest of parliamentarians of Kazakhstan in more fruitful cooperation with Japanese peers, both in a bilateral format and within international parliamentary organizations, in particular, the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
