An extended session of the Senate Committee on Finance and Budget took place, where the bill “On Ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Finance Corporation on the Establishment and Operation of Offices in the Republic of Kazakhstan” was considered by deputies.
The document legislatively enshrines the status of the International Finance Corporation offices in our country. Once this bill is adopted, the financial corporation would be free to invest in key sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan. As a result, this will create new jobs and boost the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The document has been submitted to the House for consideration.
The International Finance Corporation is one of the five institutions of the World Bank Group and holds the status of a specialized agency of the United Nations.
